Kuwait International Airport suffers damage after Iranian missile and drone attacks amid escalating tensions between Iran and the United States.

War spreads. Civilians pay the price.
Footage emerging from Kuwait International Airport shows significant damage after Iranian missiles and drones struck the country amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran.
According to Kuwaiti authorities, the attack damaged airport infrastructure, disrupted flights and left casualties and injuries in its wake. Kuwait, a country that had largely avoided the worst of the conflict in recent months, has now found itself directly caught in the crossfire.
For millions across the region, this is the nightmare scenario.
The region does not need another escalation.
It needs de-escalation.
Because every new missile, every new drone and every new act of retaliation increases the risk that an already volatile conflict spirals even further out of control.
And as always, it is civilians who suffer first.
KHALAS!!

Al Jazeera corespondent: The United States insists and the headline is that the U.S. believes these are defensive in nature. And as a result, they say that the ceasefire is ongoing. In other words, despite this outbreak of action between the IRGC and the United States, the ceasefire the US maintains is holding. Now, the US says that these were conducted as a result of activity by Iran in the region, namely not only an attack in Bahrain on the fifth fleet, but also on Qeshm Island. The Centcom saying that in a statement that two ballistic missiles were fired by Iran, towards Kuwait, that they broke apart or fell short of their target. And three were fired towards Bahrain and were intercepted by U.S. and Bahraini forces. Now, what we also know is that the United States says it also intercepted three drones that were headed towards civilian mariners in the region. But again, the United States insisting that these were in self defense, that the United States military act, that no Americans were hurt and that the ceasefire remains intact.
