Former Israeli PM Naftali Bennett Admits Interference in Iranian Domestic Affairs During Time in Office
June 25, 2026
FOREIGN INTERFERENCE? HE JUST ADMITTED IT.
For years, Western governments have condemned foreign interference as a threat to democracy, sovereignty and national security.
Now, former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has openly acknowledged that during his time in office, Israel smuggled tens of thousands of Starlink devices into Iran during the 2021–2022 protests, helping activists bypass government-imposed internet blackouts.
Imagine the reaction if Iran admitted smuggling communications equipment into Israel to assist anti-government demonstrations.
The headlines would never stop.
So why should this be treated any differently?
The principle is simple:
Sovereignty cannot be selective.
Foreign interference is foreign interference, no matter who does it.
Starlink devices allowed users to bypass state restrictions, communicate during internet shutdowns and maintain access to online platforms when authorities attempted to cut connections.
Is foreign interference only wrong when the “”wrong”” countries do it?

Naftali Bennett: What happens every time there’s a protest? They turn off the internet and then there’s no communications. So what I had started was a process of acquiring and smuggling in Tehran, tens of thousands of Starlink receptors that would allow continuity of the internet and social networks when they turn it off, and would allow the protest to coordinate and ultimately topple. Unfortunately, the current incompetent Israeli government stopped doing that like they stopped. Pretty much every good program that we started. And, and when the protest happened, that infrastructure was not there.
