Israeli Crimson Thread Project Accused of Severing Palestinian Access to Jordan Valley Permanently
June 25, 2026
THEY’RE NOT JUST OCCUPYING LAND. THEY’RE REDRAWING THE MAP.
According to journalist and Palestine activist Andrey Khrzhanovskiy, Project Crimson Thread may be one of the most consequential developments in occupied Palestine today.
Why?
Because if completed, it could effectively seal off the Jordan Valley from the rest of the West Bank, creating a permanent geographic fracture that would make a viable Palestinian state even more difficult to imagine.
The Jordan Valley is not some remote stretch of land.
It represents nearly 30% of the West Bank, contains some of Palestine’s most fertile agricultural land, critical water resources and serves as the natural eastern gateway to the Arab world.
For decades, Palestinians have viewed the Jordan Valley as an essential part of any future state.
The project is reportedly designed to expand Israeli infrastructure and control corridors across occupied territory, further isolating Palestinian communities and restricting their access to land, movement and economic opportunities.
If Palestinians lose meaningful access to the Jordan Valley, the consequences could be enormous.
Entire communities could become further isolated.
Agricultural livelihoods could be devastated.
And the territorial continuity required for a future Palestinian state could be shattered.
This isn’t just a construction project. It’s a political project. A territorial project.
And potentially one of the most significant changes to the map of occupied Palestine in years.

Andrey X: If you care about Palestine, you need to know about Project Crimson Thread. And if you stick with me for one minute, I will explain what it is. As you can see, I’m in a trench. And so this is the beginning of a massive wall that will cut off the Jordan Valley from the rest of the West Bank. The Jordan Valley constitutes 30% of the West Bank, and it is known as the bread basket of this region. The vast majority of Palestinian communities there have already been ethnically cleansed by Israeli army and settlers. And the last remaining communities will have their fate sealed by this wall. Crimson Thread is about to become the last nail in the coffin of Palestinian presence in the Jordan Valley, and we need to act now. I strongly recommend reading this article and sharing about this, and bringing as much attention to this issue as possible.
