Delegations from Turkey, Pakistan, Kuwait, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia and Iran were among those reported to have walked out of the hall, joined by officials from more than 10 countries in total.
No shouting. No interruption. Just chairs pushed back and delegates heading for the door while the president of Israel kept talking.
It’s the kind of message diplomats rarely send, and this one was sent in the open. When this many governments won’t even sit and listen, it says something about how much of the world sees Israel’s conduct right now.
More governments should have the courage to walk out. Thank you to the ones who did.
