Former AIPAC Analyst Says He Passed Pentagon Information to Israeli Embassy After 2005 Espionage Act Charges
October 27, 2026
“I DID PASS IT ON TO THE EMBASSY OF ISRAEL… I admit that freely.”
That’s Keith Weissman, a former AIPAC analyst, in @zeteo ’s new documentary, saying on camera that he passed intelligence to the Israeli embassy.
His name will be familiar to anyone who followed the case. In 2005, the U.S. government indicted Weissman and his @aipac colleague @stevierosen , accusing them of conspiring to receive and share classified national defense information. AIPAC fired both men. The case grew out of a larger investigation involving Larry Franklin, a Pentagon analyst who pleaded guilty to passing classified information to them and to an Israeli official.
Weissman and Rosen always insisted they’d done what lobbyists do: gather information and talk to diplomats. In 2009, the Justice Department dropped the charges, and no jury ever heard the case.
Now, two decades later, Weissman is saying it directly: “I did pass it on to the @israelinusa .”
It’s the kind of admission that makes you ask what else the lobby’s defenders say never happened. A lobby that says it’s an ordinary advocacy group, an analyst saying he passed intelligence to a foreign embassy, and a government that dropped the case.
Let that sink in. The lobby that shapes US policy toward Israel, that spends tens of millions to decide who wins elections in this country, had an analyst who admits passing intelligence to Israel’s embassy, and nobody was ever held to account for it.
