“Americans Will Die”: Zeteo’s Prem Thakker Slams Ted Cruz’s Anti-Muslim Attacks Over Abdul El-Sayed’s Faith
October 30, 2026“AMERICANS WILL DIE”: TED CRUZ’S LATEST ATTACK ON ABDUL EL-SAYED.
On Wednesday, campaigning in Michigan for Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers, Sen. Ted Cruz (@sentedcruz ) said that if Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed (@abdulelsayed )is elected, “there is a very real risk that Americans will die as a result.” His condition: “if I am correct that he is a passionate supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.”
That’s the claim: a US Senate candidate’s election could get Americans killed. And the evidence for the Brotherhood link is a resurfaced 2012 social media post by El-Sayed’s half-sister about their mother’s activism in college. El-Sayed has said he “absolutely” disavows the Muslim Brotherhood and has repeatedly denied the claim.
The double standard: Zeteo’s Prem Thakker hit back, pointing to the hypocrisy of Cruz, one of Israel’s most vocal backers in Congress, using “foreign loyalty” as a weapon against a Muslim-American candidate. In Thakker’s argument, the country Cruz champions is the one whose actions have killed American citizens.
Toxic playbook: The smears didn’t stop there. Cruz is also now attacking Texas Democratic nominee James Talarico’s masculinity. This is the same Cruz who famously stayed quiet when Donald Trump publicly insulted his wife.
Where does he get off? Is this peak political hypocrisy, or just another election-season smear?

Hamza: Silence basically empowers oppression. You know, so the oppressors win by us keeping quiet. And this like I said, it’s our duty as role models as we find ourselves role models, whether you like it or not to I guess use your voice for a good cause. I feel like it’s my duty, as a muslim, as a human to not be able to stand by and help and do what I can do to help, you know, and that’s raise awareness, raise funds ultimately, to be able to go and help the children that are suffering out in Gaza. My family are very good, very good in terms of both very strong faith and just this is a big part of that, you know, so they’ve taught me that as a kid, to stand up for injustice, whether it’s on the playground, whether it’s like you say, in Gaza, and they educate me on the matter. Whilst I was young, and it’s something that stuck with me.
