U.S. DEFENSE SECRETARY DISGRACES HIMSELF WHAT HAPPENED TO NO TROOPS ON THE GROUND?!

US Congressman, Matt Gaetz, questioned Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, at a House Armed Services Committee hearing this week on Gaza and the issue of US troops having to protect the pier being built by the US in Gaza to allegedly open an unhindered passage for aid to reach Gaza.

The questioning got firey with Gaetz pressed Austin as to whether US troops might be shot at and whether they would then be forced to carry arms.

“Well, typically all of the service members carry guns and they have the ability to protect themselves if challenged,” the Secretary of Defense said.

Gaetz then called out Austin and Biden for lying to the American public: “President Biden told the country that we weren’t going to have boots on the ground. You guys seem to be sort of saying that boots on a pier connected to the ground connected to service members shooting into Gaza doesn’t count as boots on the ground?”

“It does not,” Austin hypocritically responded, making himself look foolish and deceptive.

Ha! Sometimes you question how these people got into their positions and if they hear themselves as they speak… The irrationality is incomprehensible.

English Script:
Matt Gaetz Miss Locken just said there’ll be about a thousand U.S. service members operating a pier system off of Gaza. How many of them will have guns, Mr. Secretary?
Lloyd Austin: Well, typically all of the service members carry guns and they have the ability to protect themselves if challenged.
Matt Gaetz So if someone shoots at our service members who are on the $320 million pier that we’re building, you’re telling me our service members can shoot back?
Lloyd Austin: They have the right to, to return fire, to protect themselves.
Matt Gaetz: Do you think that that’s a likely scenario?
Lloyd Austin: That’s possible. Yes.
Matt Gaetz This is a very telling moment, Mr. Secretary, cause you’ve said something that’s quite possible that could happen, right? Shots from Gaza on our service members and then the response, our armed service members shooting live fire into Gaza. That is a possible outcome here so that we can become the Port Authority, right? President Biden told the country that we weren’t going to have boots on the ground.
Joe Biden: No U.S. boots will be on the ground.
Matt Gaetz: You guys seem to be sort of saying that boots on a pier, connected to the ground, connected to service members shooting into Gaza, doesn’t count as boots on the ground?
Lloyd Austin: It does not.
Matt Gaetz: I think you’re going to find the American people have a different perspective on that, and if we’re gonna have people shooting into Gaza, we probably should have a vote on that.
