UN & E.U CALL FOR INVESTIGATION INTO GAZA MASS GRAVES

*WAR CRIME * HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS *

The United Nations and European Union have both called for an investigation into the mass graves recently discovered at Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza City and Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis.

The discovery of the makeshift burial sites prompted a statement from Volker Türk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, yesterday expressing deep concern about the graves and the damage to the facilities during the conflict.

Speaking to the press, UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric reiterated Türk’s statement calling for a team of international experts to be appointed to conduct an inquiry into the situation.

EU spokesperson Peter Stano also demanded an independent investigation, suggesting that “the suspicions and all the circumstances” could point to “violations of international human rights.”

In response, the Israeli military also issued a statement, claiming that the bodies were exhumed and examined during the search for deceased Israeli hostages taken on October 7, and were then respectfully reburied.

*This is a preposterous statement by the Israelis following further evidence that came to light after exhuming the bodies, revealing that many of the bodies had ORGANS, HEADS and SKIN removed, stitched up and then thrown into the rubble and covered over by bulldozers trying to bury the proof.*

THE ENTIRE ISRAELI CABINET, MILITARY LEADERS, OFFICERS AND SOLDIERS MUST ALL BE REFERRED TO THE INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE AND CRIMINAL COURT!
THESE ARE BLATANT WAR CRIMES AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY. IF ISRAEL EVADES JUSTICE THEN ALL OUR LAWS, CONVENTIONS, RULES ARE WORTH ZERO!!

AMERICA – YOU CLAIM RUSSIA, CHINA AND NORTH KOREA ARE PARIAH STATES AND DON’T ABIDE BY INTERNATIONAL LAWS – YOU HAVE LOST ALL CREDIBILITY.

WE DON’T TRUST OR BELIEVE IN YOU ANYMORE!

Amy Goodman: The Senate approved sending more money to Israel, on the same day the United Nations called for an independent probe into the discovery of over 300 bodies and a mass grave at the Nasser medical complex following Israel’s siege on the hospital. Ravina Shamdasani is a spokesperson for the U.N. office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Ravina Shamdasani: We are horrified also by the destruction of Al Nasser medical complex and Al-Shifa medical complex, and the reports of the discovery of mass graves in and around facilities, and we call for independent, effective, transparent investigations into the deaths. Given the prevailing climate of impunity. This should include international investigators. Hospitals are entitled to very special protection under international humanitarian law. And let’s be clear, the intentional killing of civilians, detainees and others who are hors de combat (disabled or injured) is a war crime.
